What?! Stop! Rewind. . . .

Lately I have been getting frustrated with all the things that I don't have, and have not yet accomplished. I want to be done with school and into my career, and I want the same for Garett. I want to be financially stable enough so that we can have our own house with enough room for cute kittens, and maybe a baby or two or three, I really want a kitten, or a baby. And there are more things of course, but that is where I usually stop my self. What am I thinking? I have so much in my life currently to be grateful and happy for. . .

1. My sweet, tender hearted husband who would do anything for me, and does.
2. A cute little apartment that is perfect for the stage we are at in our lives.
3. Amazing family and friends that support us in EVERYTHING we do, I would be nowhere with out them.
4. The opportunity I have to go to school and get my education, so that one day I will be the BEST teacher ever!
5. And, and awesome ward that has welcomed us with open arms.

I'd say that's a lot to be grateful for! I just need to keep reminding myself to slow down, and that this is exactly where I want to be right now :]] I love my life, even without the job, the house, or the kitten/baby. I know they will come eventually.

Gettin' Crafty :]]

Carolyn and I have been wanting to get our craft on for a while now, so when our husbands were getting together to watch the Seahawks game, we decided to go for it! Our craft? Cute floral headbands, I have seen so many girls wear these and I am in love! I have been wanting to buy some for a long time, problem, they sell for 10-20 bucks. No thanks, I think I will make some myself. Car and I ventured off to Joannes to pick out some cute fabrics, and when we got back we got to work. It started off a little tricky, we couldn't figure how to start the center of the flower, soon enough we got the hang of it and were on a roll! I made three headbands and Car made two what do ya think. . . ?

 It turned out to be so easy! Its just a method of folding and turning the fabric to create the rose and you simply use hot glue to hold it together and attach it to the headband. We wrapped our headbands with matching ribbon for a more polished look, I think they turned out great. Better yet, they only cost about $2.00 each to make! I am thinking about making one for every outfit :]]

Finished!

 

I am finally finished reading the Hunger Games Series! I absolutely loved these books, almost as much as twilight. I couldn't stop reading them, and can I just say that Katnis Everdeen is a stud! I totally want to be her, and I am so so so very happy that she ended up with Peeta! Ah, I just loved reading these, in fact, I have made it one of my New Years Resolutions to read more . . . my next read is "I am Number Four" by Pittacus Lore. Has anyone read this? Let me know if you have, I am pretty excited :]]

Arizona, Hockey, and Family

The day after Christmas we traveled with my brother and parents down to Phoenix Arizona for Caden's hockey tournament.  I was so excited for this little vacation in warmer weather and to see my dads side of the family as well! The only thing I wasn't excited about was the 12 hour drive to get there, I am not a big fan of being stuck in the car for that long. Well it turns out that 12 hour drive would turn into about 20! We were following down our family friends who's son also plays on Cadens hockey team. We were about an hour outside of Vegas when their transmission gave out! We were stuck on the side of the road for about three hours trying to find a tow truck company and a rental car so we could continue, this turned out to be really difficult because of the holiday no one had rental cars. We ended up having to drive back to the Vegas airport to get them a rental car. The whole ordeal turned out to be a 6 hour delay. Oh and lets not forget about my mom and Jeff getting lost after we picked up the rental car, another 2 hour delay! The whole drive down turned into a comical of errors haha, we rolled into the hotel in Phoenix around 1:30 AM finally!

The next couple of days were filled with warm 65 degree weather, hockey, and family. Cades team played pretty good, it is so much fun to see him play! My dads brothers and their family were able to come to Caden's games too, it was good to see them and my cousins!

We even got to go to a Phoenix Coyotes game! I was so much fun, they won 6-3! 

On the 30th we headed to St. George to ring in the new year with Gma and Gpa Green and the Baumans. It was so cold! I have never been to St. George when it has been that cold before, at least it was sunny :]] We spent a lot of our time watching college football, puzzles, and hangin' out at the pool. We also saw two movies while we were there; How Do You Know?, and The Tourist. I liked them both. It was so much fun, a great, much needed little get a way.

Our First Christmas

It was mine and Gare's first Christmas together as husband and wife, awe cute:]] It was so nice to be able to spend the holiday together it was a nice break from work and school and great to be able to spend time with family.  We opened our presents from each other and from his family on the 23rd before we went to West Jordan for the rest of the week. Gare got me a new CD deck for my car and a new ipod nano! I love it, it's so cute look. . .

 

I got Gare a bunch of different things, his favorite is Donkey Kong Country Returns for the wii (it is so fun and super addictive) and a Seattle Sea Hawks hat. I also got him a pretty sweet mini marshmallow shooter that is kinda fun haha. Gare's parents gave us some cool stuff too, a pressure cooker and a hand blender! We can't wait to try those out, thanks mom and pops Kofoed:]]

On Christmas Eve Eve, we had dinner with my family, my grandparents and the Baumans at California Pizza Kitchen, it was delish. We all slept over at grandmas and exchanged gifts in the morning, my favorite, memory foam for our bed and a couples massage! I am pretty stoked about that :]]

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were amazing as well, just hanging out and spending time with family. One of my favorite traditions is going to Grandma "Glorys" house Christmas night hanging out with the whole family and of course chowing down on grandmas amazing macaroni yum :]] I would also like to give a shout out to my amazing husband who worked on Christmas Day so that he could have time off to go to Arizona with my family (which will be talked about in a later post) :]] I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
