Fight like a girl!

This week when the ladies on my mom's side of the family got together for lunch we all surprised my Aunt Sue who had just been diagnosed with stage 1 ovarian cancer by wearing shirts that support ovarian cancer patients. Each cancer awareness has a different color and slogan, ovarian is teal and the slogan is "fight like a girl" we love it! We love Suzie, and are so glad that they caught the cancer early! She just went through her first round of chemo and is doing great, she is such a trooper! She is truly fighting like a girl!

Take me out to the ball game. . .

So, my super rad grandpa's super rad friend Marc hooked us up with some Bee's tickets.  We went to three games and we even got to see fireworks at two or the games! On Friday we took Brayden and Misty, we ate at Texas Roadhouse before the game yum!

On Sunday we took Meg, Cam, Carolyn and Brent. It was super hot so we had some really yummy mint chocolate chip ice cream. The good ol' Bee's even hit a grand slam so we all took our tickets to Denney's and got a FREE grand slam breakfast! It was pretty cool, we saw fireworks this night for Pioneer day!

Then on Monday we took Carolyn, Brent and the Chases! It was a lot cooler out this time but it did rain on us for like half the game. Oh well it was an adventure, and we got to see a lovely rainbow :]] Haha so every game I have been heckling this player from the Tacoma team, Carlos Peguero. I think I was really getting to him I swear he looked at me a couple of times, so for this, the last game, we decided to make him a sign! Haha I kept asking him to show me his muscles so that's what I made the sign say. People thought I was crazy :]]

Serious panic attack people! Serious!

Ok, I want everyone to know (because everyone reads my blog), that the anxiety is coming back just typing this post! So the other day Gare was at work and I was home alone. It was about 6:30 I was relaxing and watching Hells Kitchen on the couch when all of a sudden a big spider crawled out from under the T.V. stand.  Now, I HATE spiders, I usually make Gare kill them unless I am feeling super brave, then I kill it my self. But this spider was big, and I was starting to panic. I didn't want to squish it into the carpet so I ran to the kitchen and got a bowl to trap him under. I came back and put the bowl over the spider but then. . .  HUNDREDS OF TEENY TINY LITTLE BABY SPIDERS STARTED CRAWLING OUT FROM UNDER THE BOWL!!!! They were riding on the mommy spiders back! I started to cry and called Gare, ran to find the spider spray and started spraying those little suckers! I was so freaked out I was bawling and couldn't breath haha! So Gare told me to go get the landlord to help. So I went up to find Scott Chase and he saved the day killing the mommy spider and the rest of the babies! Haha then I vacuumed for like 3 hours, and was itchy and shaky the rest of the night. I wish I would have gotten a picture but I was a little too out of control to think of that at the time, but I found this one on the internet and no joke this is exactly what it looked like!

Nasty right? Yeah just about had a heart attack! Well now I have blogged about it and never have to think of it again!

Flower Lollies

I am bored, Gare is at work, and it is raining, so I made a cute craft today :]] I call them flower lollies cause they look like flowers and lollipops!

I made them by using some cute paper scraps I had laying around. Oh and I got that cute blue tin planter thingy at the D.I. for like .50¢!

$8.00 t-shirt upgrade

I found this cute project on how to spruce up a regular old t-shirt the other day, and I love it so much I have done it to several shirts. I found some 8 dollar t-shirts at target, then I found some cute trim at hobby lobby. I also made one with a ruffle, you just take your embellishment and sew it right down the middle! Super easy, fun, and cute.

Gare thinks that I am a nut, but I try to tell him I am saving money. I mean if you got shirts like these somewhere else it could cost you 25-40 bucks depending on where you got it. Right?! Haha :]]

It All Ends

We went to the midnight showing of the last Harry Potter last night! We had so much fun the movie was so so so so good! I can't believe it is all over. What are we going to do without Harry Potter in our lives?! I feel like I have grown up with the guy, the first book came out when I was seven years old. Now I am 21 and it is all over, no more books, no more movies. It truly is bittersweet.

Help!

So Garett has been having some serious sinus/allergy problems lately that make him snore, super loud, like the walls rumble! I don't know what to do! I can't even sleep in the same room with him, most nights I end up on the couch (and I can still hear him). This is how my thought process and actions have gone every night for about the last month. . .

• I hear him snoring
• "just roll over and go back to sleep"
• "try to think of something else"
• "just listen to the fan"
• then I turn on the T.V.
• "ok just listen to the T.V. it will drown out the snoring"
• "ugh! ok just nudge him and ask him to roll over"
• "NO! don't do it he will get grumpy"
• "ugh ok do it"
• I nudge Gare and ask him to roll over. He does.
• The snoring starts again in about 1 minute
• "ugh!"
• "ok just go out on the couch"
• "no, no, no, I am so comfy and he will probably stop in a minute"
• 5-10 minutes later I end up on the couch :[

Haha and I am not even exaggerating! It is super bad. Last sunday he took a nap and I recorded his snoring on my phone and sent it to Carolyn, and that was just a nap snore! The deep sleep snore is much worse! Its so sad, I want to sleep next to my sweets but he is so LOUD! Help me!!

Curtains!

Ok so a while ago Gare made me buy these nice curtains (he just had to have the thermal lining). Anyway, I didn't really want any curtains because we already have blinds and it is so dark down here to begin with, but there was always a glare on Garett's T.V. from the sun! Haha so he made me get them, whatever. I always planned on hemming them and making them a little cuter but I could never make up my mind on exactly what to do with them. So I decided to just give it a go today. Here is what I came up with. . .

I Love Glitter!

Ok you guys I love glitter toes! I pretty much fell in love when I had mine done last year. I did not, however, fall in love with the price (like 25+). So while blog stalking I came across a couple people who do them themselves. I took some of their ideas and added some of my own, here is what I came up with. . .

I got my glitter at Hobby Lobby, that whole pack for 5 bucks! Then make sure you have a good base and top coat, I really like this gel coat I picked up at Sally's called Gelous (its the one with the green lid). Then I got to work.

1. Paint on gel coat then sprinkle on glitter. (for best results do one toe at a time).
2. You can do this once or twice depending on how much glitter you want. When you have completed one foot tap off the extra glitter you can then use an old makeup brush to sweep the rest off too.
3. Let dry for a minute then put a regular top coat over the glitter. (don't do to many gel coats it is really thick.)
4. Let dry and then wash your toes off.
5. When you are sure your toes are dry give them a good buff to make them smooth. This will also make the glitter extra sparkly after you add a top coat.
6. Once your toes are all smooth add another get coat to the top and you are done!

 I did mine and Carolyn's tonight, they are more sparkly in person it is tricky to get a good picture of glitter. Anyway, they are so cute and wont break the bank :]]

Hello Friends!

Hello! It has been such a lovely day! My amazing mom did my hair today, now it is pretty and I even got some feathers! I also have been hanging out with my love. We started to watch the Harry Potters, we want to watch them all before the midnight show! Whoo we are excited <3 HP! I also made a skirt today! I followed THIS tutorial, it turned out cute, I will post pictures of all the stuff I have been making soon :]] Then Gare and I went to dinner and to Winco and when we were walking out to our car we saw this beauty. . .

It's A Double Rainbow!

We also saw the new Transformers yesterday! I really liked it, it was way better than the second one. Gare was upset that the new chick in the movie was wearing her high heals through all of the action scenes, and that her white shirt stayed perfect the whole time haha, I didn't even notice he is a goofball :]] Anyway, it was still a good fun movie. And that's all folks!

Summer Storms

I love summer thunder storms! It smells so good, all clean and fresh and it cools things down a bit in our lil' apartment. We have no AC so we gladly opened the windows, and are currently listing to the boom of the thunder and the trickle of rain :]] I love it.

Happy 4th of July every one! I hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend! We sure did, Gare and I did some BBQing with the Hirzes and went to see the Stadium of Fire fireworks! They were awesome and we even got a whole game of Phase 10 in while we were waiting for the show! Today we had a lovely picnic in the park before Gare had to go to work. Then I headed to Salt Lake to spend the rest of the day with my family! I have also been singing "My Country Tis of Thee" the whole weekend haha!

I am so proud to be an American! I love this country and am so thankful for the amazing men and women who fight and have fought for our freedom. God bless the U.S.A.!
