Our Adventures :]

Remember how Gare and I have been married for a whole year now? So crazy but we go way back, more like three years haha. I didn't have a blog then so a bunch of our adventures have never been documented! So I am going to make an awesome photo gallery of all of our past adventures :]] Get ready for some pictures ya'll, I will be starting from when we first started dating in December 2009.

Our 3rd date, we finger painted and watched a movie :]] I had to go back to school in Cedar City after this.

Gare and Tommy came to visit us in Cedar right after Christmas break! Garett asked me to be his "girlfriend" and I said no :[[

I finally said yes and we were "official" on January 18th, 2009. Get ready for lots of driving back and forth from Cedar to Provo.

We celebrated our first Valentines Day together in St. George and got pedi's to celebrate :]]

G visited me in Cedar and we saw Allred play at SUU. Later this night G got really sick and I took good care of him.

I came up to Salt Lake and we saw Vanilla Ice and M.C. Hammer in concert.

Took a trip to Moses Lake WA to meet the fam (oh man things are gettin' serious), and G introduced me to his favorite place to eat :]]

While we were in WA (spring break) we visited Seattle.

G's family was in town for Easter. We had to take Kallie to the doc.

Summer break! Gare took me to see Kelly Clarkson :]]

April 1st he purposed :]]

April 24th, 2010 I was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints :]] It was amazing, even more amazing that Gare was the one to baptize me!

And then a couple months planning for our beautiful wedding! August 16th, 2010 I married my best friend :]]

Welp, I think that pretty much covers it! I sure do love my boy.

Help!

So Garett has been having some serious sinus/allergy problems lately that make him snore, super loud, like the walls rumble! I don't know what to do! I can't even sleep in the same room with him, most nights I end up on the couch (and I can still hear him). This is how my thought process and actions have gone every night for about the last month. . .

• I hear him snoring
• "just roll over and go back to sleep"
• "try to think of something else"
• "just listen to the fan"
• then I turn on the T.V.
• "ok just listen to the T.V. it will drown out the snoring"
• "ugh! ok just nudge him and ask him to roll over"
• "NO! don't do it he will get grumpy"
• "ugh ok do it"
• I nudge Gare and ask him to roll over. He does.
• The snoring starts again in about 1 minute
• "ugh!"
• "ok just go out on the couch"
• "no, no, no, I am so comfy and he will probably stop in a minute"
• 5-10 minutes later I end up on the couch :[

Haha and I am not even exaggerating! It is super bad. Last sunday he took a nap and I recorded his snoring on my phone and sent it to Carolyn, and that was just a nap snore! The deep sleep snore is much worse! Its so sad, I want to sleep next to my sweets but he is so LOUD! Help me!!

Update!

• Garett graduates this semester and is currently on the wait list for the University of Utah MSW program! Cross your fingers he gets in :]]
• We are getting sealed in the Oqurrih Mountain Temple April 30th! I am receiving my endowments the same day.
• Gares family is coming down for both of these occasions and we are very excited to see everyone:]]
• School and work is still going great for both of us (the Jr. High kids are currently on spring break so I have a whole lovely week to sleep in and hang out with my man :]]).

Did you like my list of updates? I thought it would be easier that way haha, we have also got to spend some time with our friends and family. Mariah finally had her baby! Karston Arvin Kofoed, and he is so dang cute! Keith and Ria are already such cute parents, we have got to hang out with the new little family twice last week, here is a picture of me and the little guy. . .

On Thursday Gare and I decided to pull out the pressure cooker and whip up some beef stroganoff, which is one of Gare's all time favorites! I was supper nervous because the pressure cooker scares me to death! I have heard some crazy stories, so I stayed away from the kitchen and let Gare to the dirty work:]] It turned out amazing, we didn't have any scary explosions or anything!! We also got together with the Law's and the Hirzes on Friday, we had the famous "Chicken Broccoli Casserole" and played games :]] Its always fun to get together with those crazy kids, it is a tight squeeze in our lil' apartment though.

Lately

So much has been going on lately, but I haven't had much time to blog about it. This new job is keeping me busy. This new job that I love by the way, I am learning so much and the people I work with are awesome.  I love the student I am working with, she always keeps things interesting for me :]] It really is such a rewarding job I can tell that I am a big help to her.  I love it!! I get off of work at 3, but that is when Garett has to be to work so there are some days where I don't even get to see him, because by the time he gets home I am asleep. But we get by, it makes the time we do have together that much more special.  We are both doing well in school, Gare actually graduates this April! I am so proud of him!

While we are on the school subject, I am taking a children's lit. class and I get to read all of these fun kids books, I love it! The latest reads have been. . .

I loved every single one! Mostly the last two! I was a bit worried about "The Watsons go to Birmingham" because it sounds and looks boring, but this book has taught me to not judge a book by its cover! I loved loved loved it! I recommend it to anyone. These books have taken me away from my most recent read "Uglies" I am about half way through and now that I am done with these ones I am excited to get back to reading it :]]

And lastly, wasn't this a great conference weekend?! The church is TRUE, and Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God.

6 Months!

6 months ago today I married my best friend. I can't believe how fast time has gone by! I am the luckiest girl in the word, I got to marry my dream guy and have my dream wedding :]] Love you so much GareBear.

Our First Christmas

Our cute tree with all the presents.

It was mine and Gare's first Christmas together as husband and wife, awe cute:]] It was so nice to be able to spend the holiday together it was a nice break from work and school and great to be able to spend time with family.  We opened our presents from each other and from his family on the 23rd before we went to West Jordan for the rest of the week. Gare got me a new CD deck for my car and a new ipod nano! I love it, it's so cute look. . .

 

I got Gare a bunch of different things, his favorite is Donkey Kong Country Returns for the wii (it is so fun and super addictive) and a Seattle Sea Hawks hat. I also got him a pretty sweet mini marshmallow shooter that is kinda fun haha. Gare's parents gave us some cool stuff too, a pressure cooker and a hand blender! We can't wait to try those out, thanks mom and pops Kofoed:]]

On Christmas Eve Eve, we had dinner with my family, my grandparents and the Baumans at California Pizza Kitchen, it was delish. We all slept over at grandmas and exchanged gifts in the morning, my favorite, memory foam for our bed and a couples massage! I am pretty stoked about that :]]

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were amazing as well, just hanging out and spending time with family. One of my favorite traditions is going to Grandma "Glorys" house Christmas night hanging out with the whole family and of course chowing down on grandmas amazing macaroni yum :]] I would also like to give a shout out to my amazing husband who worked on Christmas Day so that he could have time off to go to Arizona with my family (which will be talked about in a later post) :]] I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

This week. . .

Monday-Thursday
Gare and I finished our finals! AND on Thursday we got to go to the David Archuleta MoTab Christmas concert! It was lovely, we went with Brent and Carolyn, had dinner before (Gare made homemade lasagna) and dessert after (root beer floats). 


Saturday
Carolyn and I went and got pedicures :]]  Lets just say our toes look super cute, I went for the red polish with a cute white snowflake painted on. Love it! Of course the cute little Asians were doing our toes, they were fun and could speak pretty good English, however, I always feel awkward when they talk to each other in their Asian language. I am convinced they are talking about me "this white girls feet are nasty!" or something? Does anyone else feel this way?


When Gare got home from work we headed up to my parents house to make sugar cookies and have dinner with them! We made a mess making cookies but we had fun :]] I love decorating them, my dad was pretty funny and inventive when it came to the decorating part, he took a turtle dove cookie turned it sideways painted it green and added an eyeball and turned it into "the mask" haha what a goon :]] Here are some pictures of the event. . .

Sunday Night Fun

Sunday night Gare and I made the cute gingerbread village grandma Green gave us! It came with five little houses for you to decorate, can you guess which ones I decorated vs. which ones Gare did? We had fun, this entertained us for a couple hours, we decorated and watched the Hangover haha :]]

Happy Sunday :]]

 I have had such a great Sunday! Wonderful church meetings with my babe, got together with the Hirzes for dinner, then went to the Christmas Devotional with family and friends, walked around Temple Square to look at the pretty lights and temple. Such a good day! The fog/nasty Utah inversion made the temple look really cool and when you walked around outside you could feel ice crystals hit your face! So awesome, what a beautiful world we live in.

Don't Hate!

MERRY CHIRSTMAS! Ok, ok. . . I know its only the 10th of November but I was just so excited! I have been begging Gare to get a Christmas tree for a while now, but all the ones we have found were so expensive! However, today I was making a trip to my new favorite store HOBBY LOBBY, and they had all of their Christmas stuff out so I decided to just "look" at their tree selection. $34.95 for this cute 5ft skinny pine tree! That is a good deal if you ask me. All of the trees I have seen up til now have been like 100 bucks! This cute lil' tree is the perfect size for our apartment, it already had lights and the ornaments were all 50% off! SCORE :]] I called my mom after I bought it and she said if I can't put it up til after Thanksgiving, psh. Then I called my sweet husband and asked him if I could put it up today, and he said YES! So I did. Please don't hate, because I am excited. It's our first Christmas tree :]]

We Are Awesome

I was looking through my pictures on my computer and I came across these. . .


Awesome right? Garetts Grandpa Kofoed uses it. The first time we went to moses lake I saw this contraption and immediately thought of Harriett the Spy, that old lady with the pink hair uses one! Gare tells me his Grandpa uses it to loosen up his muscles after long days workin on the farm. I have to admit it is very relaxing :]] I am also very happy that I got to give one of these babys a try! Cross that off my list.

Halloween

We had a very fun Halloween weekend. We started it off carving pumpkins with the Hirzes. We enjoy getting together with these two! Garett and Brent can be geeky nerds together and Car and I can be crazy together! It works out great :]] They came over to our place and we ate dinner, and had root beer floats (this has become somewhat of a tradition when they come over). Then we got to our pumpkins, Gare and I picked up the pumpkins earlier that day because we had to go to winco. I Picked out a cute little one and Gare decided to get three massive ones for himself, Brent, and Car. They were so heavy and dirty! We had to wash them off in our bath tub when we got them home :]] Turns out that Carolyn got the yucky pumpkin, the inside was all moldy and nasty! She made Brent clean it out for her, what a good guy. So here are our pumpkins. . .

After some fun pumpkin carving with the Hirzes, Gare and I went to THRILLER. I just love love love love it! I have been 7 years in a row and it never gets old. This year we even got to see our family member perform! Jessica Norris. . . I think she is like my cousin? Anyway, she is a great dancer and it was fun seeing her in the show she did a great job :]]


Gare and I also went to a haunted house with Megan and friends! We went to Nightmare on 13th, and it was so scary. I basically crawled through the whole thing. When something scary would jump out at me I would just instantly fall backwards. . . its a reflex? Everyone was laughing at me the whole time, but I was seriously scared! I think I was more entertainment to the group than the actual haunted house! It was so much fun though. Garett said that if a plague of zombies took over the world we wouldn't last long haha. After the haunted house we went to Megan's parents house, ate dinner and played games! We played this fun game called "Time's Up" It was very fun, but Garett was terrible at it. He has a terrible memory so we didn't make a very good team and we lost :[[

Aside from losing terribly at "Times up" I'd say we had one pretty spectacular Halloween weekend!

Getting Settled :]]

I am a little bit board so I decided to update my blog and make it cute. Anyways, Gare and I are happy as can be just getting settled into the married life. We have finally put all of the finishing touches on our cute little apartment, we love it here. It is so nice to finally be living together! All of our stuff is in one place, no going back and fourth between houses, it is so nice knowing we are driving to OUR place at the end of the day. Here are a couple of pictures of our newly decorated apartment. . .




Cute huh? Anyways I decided that I am going to try and be a better blogger. Try and at least do a post or two a month, I think I can manage that! Well so long for now :]]
