We have two Moms now Dear.

Moms really are awesome. It is hard for me to talk about them without tearing up. They work hard to raise us, keep us healthy and smack us around when we need it. Most moms work outside of the home these days on top of all of that.

My mom can do anything. She made us outfits growing up, blankets, birthday cakes, dinners. I was thinking the other day about cub scouts. When I was in cub scouts my mom was the leader and we made so much cool stuff.

The other day Presley and I were getting all out temple stuffs together and I needed some pants hemmed. Well my mom had begun tossing her salad in the bathroom and really not doing well but she was able to measure a pant leg before she had to run back to the bathroom and when I woke up the next morning my pants were hemmed.

Who wants to do that? A mom a guess. My mother in law is a pretty awesome lady too. Even though it wasn't possible for them to participate fully in our sealing they made sure that they were at the temple afterwords to greet us and if that was not enough she put together a huge feast for the 30 or so family that were there with us.

I have really enjoyed getting hitched and becoming a part of a new family. I laugh when I see this picture of me kissing my mom. How awkward. The Kofoed's don't jump out and start kissing each other when we are saying goodbye, you're lucky if you get a hug. My inlaws are all about kissing each other right on the lips. I still have a hard time with it. I remember the first time I was together with the whole family and everyone started saying goodbye and giving kisses, I was in shock. It was bad enough the shy guy that I am had to talk to these people now I have to give kisses? I made it out okay.

This week after mothers day festivities I gave great grandma a kiss and then freaked out and just ended up patting grandma green on the shoulder. HaHa I avoided the hug because I feared the kiss.

Moral of the story is I am awkward and have a lot of growing up to do and mothers need more than just a forced thanks on mothers day.

For Time And All Eternity

Oh my goodness! So much has happened since my last blog post! Garett's family was here all week with us. They were able to be here for his graduation and our sealing!

Gare graduated with his bachelors degree in behavioral science on Friday April, 29th! I am so proud of him! He also has a job interview on Monday to potentially be a case manager AND he is currently on the wait list for the UofU Masters of Social Work Program! Pray for him! Gare is so funny he wore his graduation gear (cap, gown, tassel, and all) all day haha. I woke up and he was all ready to go in his funny little get up two hours early, and then he wore it after to go out to eat! He said "I had to pay 60 bucks for this thing might as well get my moneys worth!". That boy cracks me up!

Then on April 30th I received my endowments and Gare and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple! It was such an amazing day and I am so glad Gare and I were surrounded by family and friends to support us! There is no describing the feeling you have in the temple, I can't wait to go back! I am so glad this amazing and true gospel has found its way into my life, what a blessing it is to have the knowledge that families are FOREVER! The church is true :]]

Happy Easter!

Spring is here! Or at least it is here for a couple of days and then decides to go back to winter :/ But I will take what I can get! Today was such a beautiful Sunday. We had such wonderful church meetings, Kamille (Garett's sister) and Ben even came along with us! Garetts family is in town this week for his graduation and our sealing so it has been nice to get to spend this holiday with them :]] After church everyone came over to our place for yummy ham and funeral potatoes. We watched some baseball and now everyone is just relaxing and a few are playing hunting games on the wii :]] It has been a lovely Easter Sunday.

Taco Bell

Since getting married my loving wife has been watching a lot of awful court TV shows and the news. I would pray that if one of us make a dumb enough mistake to land us in court that we will be lucky enough to be paid to go on TV and act like morons. Well anyways...

A few months ago Pres saw some segments on how Taco Bells taco meat was not 100% beef. She has refused to eat there ever since. This has been detrimental to my whole existence. For those of you who know me well know that like my great uncle Bruce "I live to eat not eat to live." Food is about the one and only thing in life you find me getting excited about save having a home theater in my future home.

When I think about Taco Bell I think about the first time I ever went to eat by myself. I think about hanging out with my first best friend Chris Coen and his mom taking us to Taco Bell. Man, that was a huge deal to me as a little fart becuase our family did not eat out as a kid. I actually remember feeling bad about her spending so much money on me taking me out to eat at Taco Bell for lunch. I remember mexi nuggets, man those were tasty morsels. You know they got rid of those so that there menu was "healthier" and now Mcdonalds comes out with a double fish fillet! It reminds me about trips to see Pres when she was going to SUU. We would usually eat there before I left good ol Cedar City.

Well what sparked my post today is that Taco Bells lawsuit alleging that their beef was not 100% beef was dropped today and no money was exchanged between the two parties. I really do not understand what the worry is I think that Upton Sinclair took care of the meat industry, on accident, eons ago and Taco bells meat is USDA inspected meat. Remember when Jack in the Box was under the microscope? At that time there was not a Jack in the Box within a 100 miles of me but I was still kinda freaked out to go eat fast food. (I was 8 okay.)

Oooo but he meat filling is only 88% beef, yippee ki yay a! "Ooo, there is oats in it, I hate oatmeal." Last time I made a taco I did not just throw plain cook ground beef in the shell. Do you?

Hopefully Pres will be able to overcome the scare and enjoy the Taco Bell menu she once loved with me. I think I will have Taco Bell for lunch today...

News Flash!

We are poor!

Haha, but we still like to have fun. The other day Gare and I were on a hunt for some free fun activities and this is what we came up with. . .

Going to Cabela's and playing catch! Cabela's, I have never been there before, and it is a very interesting place! They have so much stuff! Including a mini aquarium and lots of dead stuffed animals! It was kind of neat :]] Then we played catch at the school down the street from my house and I hurt my arm, because I have such a powerful throw :]] Haha, we had fun! I even found a FREE easter craft to do! Check it out, It is an Easter egg garland made out of paint chips!
